Joanna is an Award-Winning Composer published by Universal Editions.

Commissioned by His Majesty King Charles III in 2023 to write a Song in dedication to Her Majesty Queen Camilla at the Honours of Scotland service held in St Giles Cathedral. In 2024 Joanna then composed 'Be Still' and Directed the music with her choir; 'Voces Illuminae' at a special intimate service held at Crathie Kirk, Balmoral in the presence of their Majesties, and the Duke and Duchess of Rothesey (William and Katherine).

As an Orchestrator on the popular Netflix show: 'The Night Agent 2' which reached no.1 on Netflix in 90 countries Joanna works alongside LA based Composers Robert Duncan and Timothy Williams, and is currently working on season 3.

Joanna's debut Classical Choral album 'Love Illuminates' released in 2023 with record label Regent Records, Directed by Sarah MacDonald. Her music was performed on BBC Radio 3 with the BBC Singer's on the morning of Queen Elizabeth's funeral, in concert with the London Symphony Chorus and Orchestra, and in multiple venues including The Royal Albert Hall, and live on National TV in Germany.

Joanna has that natural ability to capture a range of moods and styles in one piece and is both at home with choral and symphonic writing. Joanna is not just invested in the notes on the page, but the players, singers and audience for whom she is penning each inspired note for.

When not writing music she is usually paddle boarding down the river thames... or attempting to play the bagpipes!

Joanna's Inspiration is summed up by a quote from Bernstein:

"There is no aspect of music which doesn't intrigue me and claim me 100%, whether it's performing it or talking about it or writing it."
